尚婷 said, then I started to count

    After listening to
尚婷,survivor of the Szechuan 512 Earthquake, I started to count my blessings of today, one of my favourite trick to cheer myself up or make my day better, instantly. The minimum is to count 5 blessings, & it’s so easy to overscore - I’m grateful for everything of today, breakfast (oatmeal), lunch (leftovers), dinner (cheese & bread & grapes & soya bean milk), for having 4 limbs and an able and healthy body, for the clean water I drank and washed my hair and body with, for connecting with the people whom I met face to face, through the net or with and from my heart, for the music I listened to, for having done some interesting reading, for watching an interesting T.V. programme (albeit for just a short while), for accomplishing my tasks at work, for being nice to someone, for having the freedom/free will to think and dream … the list is way too long & I’m now way too sleepy to exhaust it, : ) and maybe just one last one – I’m grateful for being able to pull through the day with strength & quite happily notwithstanding I only had 4 hours sleep last night.

    Good night.
